What can have a penis yet be a woman?

The answer is nothing. It is a simple biological fact that a penis is a key indicator that signifies a male of the species. This may upset a lot of people if the number of trolls who have taken against JK Rowling’s view is a fair sample of the general population.

Of course it isn’t. I am astonished at the cast of the Harry Potter films being so anti the common sense view that Rowling holds. The vast majority of people in the world will agree that there is a perfectly good word for women which avoids any reference to menstruation. The word is ‘woman’. Not all women menstruate. Older women don’t, and young girls who are women in the making don’t. People who were men and are now women don’t. Singleing out women who experience menstruation as a subsection of women is quite unnecessary .
