Life online seems to be a waste of my time

I really do seem to have very little to say to anyone if visits to this site are anything to go by. No visitors for weeks on end and then the visitors I do get are notable by their clear lack of interest in what I have had to say. Is it the name of the site (admittedly not a good name) or the content? I guess it is mostly the name of the site.

What I must do is perhaps to find a different name for the domain. I have loads and loads of things I could put out here if anyone actually came to the site. makes one realise how hard it is to become a person of interest online. Partly the issue is that I am utterly uninterested in all this social media crap. It trivialises thought and amplifies utter crap spewed out by people who really shame the millions of years of evolution and invention that brought us to the 21st Century.

It would be a sensible action if I were to change everything about this site – name, appearance and content. When I can work out how to do those 3 changes I shall set to with a will. I do, of course have other things that i do and I am not an out and out narcissist which seems to be the default position in our modern western society. everyone is special, we are all “worth it” and so on. Jesus Christ that is awful. What does it get us? Donald Bleeding Trump, Nigel Arsehole Farage and a Labour government that Margaret Thatcher world be able to work with, although unlike the modern politicians, she was a strong EU supporter. The Tories forgot all that. They also forgot that Churchill was a great believer in the UK being a part of a strong Europe. But then again all these politicians today are professional party people with little interest beyond the narrow confines of their party position.

I would love a bit of feedback on this site just to see if anything I do might ever interest anyone out there. Probably won’t happen. I shall just observe the decline of decent thought as briefer and less and less objective “news” increasingly dominates the ether. “fake News”, “alternative facts”, do these people realise the awful damage they are doing? Possibly, but it keeps them in power and that is all that matters.
